I was watching House M.D. I heard House play this in his office and I almost cried. A character I finally related to listen to my favorite artist. Even in fiction we're connected through music

House brought me here. Felt so sorry seeing him lonely in his office...

Every time someone covers one of his songs or breaks it down on youtube they get close to the heart of what he was doing, but no one is ever able to capture his rhythm and phrasing properly. Even the guitar and vocal arrangements are always simplified, always at best reaching at what he was able to achieve in the interplay and independence of his guitar and vocals. This isn't really a knock on anyone and is probably as it should be though, because I really believe Blind Willie was so good that he is essentially inimitable. It's more to aspire to sound and achieve something so distinct. Anyway just my two cents, as his recordings always blow me away.

This song reminds me of being a kid in my granny's back yard on a bright summer evening playing with toys and living in the moment, thank you Mr. McTell

Wow I couldn't believe this was him, the sound quality is so good. I'm used to hear scratchy recordings of him. But that's his voice. My favorite blues singer.

The pain, anger, and determination in his voice! He's there. All of him is there, and it would be even if English wasn't your first language.

God I feel so blue right now. Phenomenal playing.

This song hits close to home. McTell had a way of making these standards seem totally original and almost autobiographical.

I believe this version is from his Last Session album recorded on 1956. He was alone in a studio with his 12 string guitar and a jug of booze. It was truly his last session. He died not long after. This was an event in 1900 when Cooney Houston shot Delia on Christmas Eve after she called him an SOB for telling everyone he had sex with her. She was 14.

'Delia's Gone' by Johnny Cash is definitely based off this song. Surprised and disappointed that Cash seems to have listed it as an original composition.

I heard this while watching House, but I just thought this song would also fit perfectly in the world of Fallout.
