PL Travers reminded me a bit of Sheldon Cooper and Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch/Moffat and Gatiss version)

Mary Poppins was never intended as entertainment by the author. That would be a very sad aspiration for her. The books are something quite different than that.

I am gonna barf my face off when the remake of Mary Poppins is coming in theaters. It will NEVER replace the classic masterpiece that everybody, including Walt Disney, had worked their fingers to the bone, poured their creativity, imagination,  and heart into it! I know I'm exaggerating, but it's my two cents on the issue.

If Disney had to do the way the author wanted it, Mary Poppins wouldn't be able to hit it on the big screen.
