This scene was so fucking simple and clean. Everything we know Atem to be. The hero, the Card Drawer of Destiny and the friend who would transcend dimensions to protect someone. Good shit

The only other monsters to do that in the original series were the god cards. And that means Atem has truly become one of them.

His story line was always the best ever since this series was over I stop collecting yugioh cards but seeing this movie was so refreshing

If you guys think about it, Atem's life story is pretty tragic. The guy became pharaoh at a young age so the burden is extra hard for him and forced to face the ultimate evil from Zorc and Bakura which was the consequences of his father's sin. Had to pay the price the price of sealing himself and Zorc in the puzzle for thousands of years along with his memories. Having to wake up in a new age with no identity of himself and adapt. Have to protect his host from the dangers of the shadow games from his time. After finally regaining his memories, he has to return to his resting place. Atem's never had the chance to live a full life of his own and his rule was very short.
