Is Valorant Dying? | The State of Valorant

Today I want to briefly talk about the announcement of Eggwick no longer making Valorant Content and talk about the state of the game and how it could be improved for players and the community. There is a huge problem of content running dry because there is nothing outside of Ranked. E-dating and smurfing becoming prevalent content in the game is an issue

Riot's apparently commissioning a Valorant movie/tv series (can't remember which), so they're clearly not against expanding and monetizing lore. Hopefully that translates to some story-mode PvE. Could be a way to explore agent backgrounds as you mentioned.

I have a small list just my opinion. I say this as a long time player a person who dreams of going pro and playing valorant full time and as a content creator and a Marketing BSC student. Bit long but these are all my thoughts😊

Gun changes: Nerf the Judge and Odin for the health of the game. Buff Vandal and Phantom bullets maybe. CS is fun because the gunplay is more challenging, higher skill ceiling so makes it more fun and something more challenging. This comes in a method of nerfing the RNG bullet hits and THE RUNNING AND GUNNING and make gunplay consistent and not up to chance at times.

Agents: NO MORE AGENTS = WE DONT WANT OVERWATCH 3.0 but balance the existing ones to make all viable.

Smurfing: Be more vigilant with smurfing and control it. Ensure there is not a need to smurf to make new accounts by NO REGION LOCK.

Region Lock solution: There has to be a method to make all servers available. So for example: I live in the UK but have access to Japan Korea Singapore China Sydney servers. However, there is a ping threshold which you are allowed to play in for example all servers under the max 124 ping you can select and the rest of the servers are greyed out. Then lets say a content creator goes for an event to Korea for example they can just take their laptop or pc or whatever and use the same account in Korea as the ping is less than 124 but for example London USA Canada servers will be greayed out and unavailable. This eliminates the need for creating new "smurf" accounts.

E daters Cringe People and Toxic People: Valorant needs to monitor voice chat seriously and have an AI which detects stuff and can issue 10 minutes mutes and repeated offenders get a ban for eg. Now before you say "its an invasion of privacy" I think people should accept this is a VIDEO GAME multiplayer online. You shouldn't be discussing personal relationship or financial or anything personal on the game even with your best freind or significant other. We have a system for that its called texting and calling.... its very simple. This will stop cringiness and toxicity with increased bans and more strictness shown.

Content: Community servers, in game map building fun modes, stuff maybe like Apex rotation of modes and celebrate christmas and stuff with maybe like snow on a map or a snowman or something just some ideas. This part I will be honest I don't have many ideas.

Grinding: Make there be actual rewards like Mastery skins maybe just free skins like apex has where you buy some skins with In game currency(igc) or certain milestones. Not all your exclusive reacers and primes but just cool looking skins even. Allow people to get stuff from previous battle passes like knife and gun skins with igc.

E sports: Promote game changers more and make the womens side of e sports more prominent with tie ups or showcasing how empowering these females are in this space inspiring younger women to puruse their e sports dream through advertisments events for young girls to try at schools stuff like this. Branch out from the normal can do this for VCT as well or whatever way you choose.

Ranks:Add maybe Plastic and wood below iron something between gold and plat or between plat and dia or between dia and asc carbon obsidian master legend whatever these are just ideas.

The game itself is fundamentally great. But its ruined by these things which need to be rectified.

I stopped playing valorant because i didnt find it fun anymore but i could never put my finger around what it was that made me stop playing and i think this video explained it perfect

I played Valorant until I got Immortal after that, there's no more reason, I don't want to go higher than that because I still have a life and there are more games to play, and it's sad to see that there's not even a replay system in the game, the only focus of the game is the ranked and doesn't have the basics for it, but relax the next skin will be beautiful kapa

Tbh 1:39 to 2:11 can kinda be applied to every tact shooter besides the e-daters. Like i dont ever speak in csgo or r6 because more often then not those people are just as toxic if not more on those games especially if you're new. My new player experience on r6 was so bad in the first few hrs i never touched it unless i was playing with a full party of friends. And since they dont play anymore i haven't touched that game once since. Yea maybe val lacks some content compared to games that have been out 5yrs plus like fortnite or csgo but they're steadily adding new stuff. And imo val even with its lack of content for social media influencers is got just enough for a avg gamer like me and is more fun than any of those other tact shooters imo.

I know shit about this game’s lore. Freakin Wayfinder has more lore than VALORANT. Lore is not music videos or 4 minute superficial videos. Lore is what you would find in games like Starfield, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Sea of Stars. It’s called finding good writers to entice your fan base.

As it stands, the lie of this game is incredibly hard to access. The covenants are god but everything else seems to be small jpgs with tiny font hidden in obscure curves of the range. I’d love to learn more about this world but I’ll tell you, I do not have the time or patience to go looking for this crap in-game

i leave csgo faceit and gc trying to find sommeting more casual to play (because valve mm is full of cheaters), then i find valorant very easy and enjoyable to play but then suddenly the game just didnt evolve anymore... back then you could evolve the agent lvl to get rewarded for playing the game... but now they replaced it for some type of credit you gain per game you play and you have to ''buy'' that content... and thats it, no more free content ingame, no comunity servers, no comunity camps, no nothing... i going back to valve for cs2 and thats it

Personally i have stopped playing valo for the most part, playing cs2 rn. Imo the game is great but lately has been a letdown, the last 4 agents have either been useless or meh/unfun, the last 3 maps have been mid at best and the nerfs they have been making literally make them unfun/cluncky or bad for soloq unless u 1trick them. Like chamber jett sure, but sage cant heal herself yikes...

Heck, Riot cares more for league than valorant in the game terms. I think we do have to wait for them to settle on the eSports stability. As for e-daters, kids and ragers, I blame TikTok. Look, I've been exposed to e-daters- heck my friend is a addict for that. And I blame TikTok. Why? Point in question: the skins. Since this is pay to win = more skins means your rich, hence, woman( sounds sexist but it's statistically right, tgt with rank). Alot of people have been saying deal with smurfs: well yeah deploy more modes, that deals with smurfs since we won't get the issues we're facing now. As for the lore thing, Its actl boiled down to the act reveals and agent reveals(anyone after kj) tbf, so I would say ppl don't really care.
