As a lifelong Texans fan, getting to know CJ Stroud the person has been just as magical as getting to know CJ Stroud the player.

Grateful and proud to be on this journey with him 🫡

I can appreciate the love CJ has for his father who was a pastor after some time on the streets and some struggles, but his dad got back into drugs again and car jacked, and kidnapped a women. Football is just a game, You have to think about the rights of the victim as well. That being said he is 100% correct about prison reform.

EXCELLENT COMMENTARY STEPHEN. YOU SEE THE QUALITY PERSON C.J. IS IN REAL TIME AND THE TRUE FAITH HE HAS IN THE LORD. HIS MOTHER DID HIM RIGHT AND HE SACRIFICED FOR THE LOVE HE HAD FOR HIS MOTHER AS SHE STRUGGLED TO RAISE HIM AND THE FAMILY. WHEN HE CAME TO OHIO STATE HE WAS BROKEN, HE GOT LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP DAY ONE FROM OTHER FOOTBALL PLAYERS AND THEIR FAMILIES WHO ARE ALSO FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST. BUCKEYE NATION FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM AND HIS MOTHER AND THEIR FAMILY RIGHT AWAY. THEY WERE ALWAYS SHOWN THE RESPECT THEY DESERVED NOT BECAUSE OF HIS FOOTBALL TALENT BUT BECAUSE OF WHO THEY ARE. THE STUDENTS ON CAMPUS ADORED HIM, COLUMBUS, OHIO LOVE HIM, AND BUCKEYE NATION WILL LOVE HIM FOREVER. WE ARE PROUD THAT C.J. NOT ONLY BROUGHT HIS TALENT TO PLAY AT THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITIES BUT WE ARE MORE PROUD HE INCLUDED HIS FAMILY. HE IS TRUELY A HUMBLE, GRATEFUL, LOVING, AND CARING PERSON. HE IS THE REAL DEAL. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ROUTING HIM ON. WE HAD ANOTHER GREAT QUARTERBACK THAT WAS THE SAME AS FAR AS TALENT BUT ALSO AS HUMBLE, KIND, CARING LIVING IN FAITH AND GRATEFUL AND THAT IS JUSTINE FIELDS. BUCKEYE NATION FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM JUST FOR BEING HIM. THE STUDENTS LOVED HIM AS DOES BUCKEYE NATION. HE IS A FRANCHISE QUARTERBACK HIS ONLY PROBLEM IN CHICAGO IS NOT JUST TWO COACHING AND MANAGEMENT CHANGES BUT THEY DON'T LET HIM PLAY LIKE JUSTINE LIKE HOUSTON ALLOWS C.J. THEY TRY TO MAKE HIM MECHANICAL, THESE ORGANIZATIONS IN THE NFL NEED TO FOCUS MORE ON PLAYERS ABILITIES AND WHAT MADE THEM GREAT INSTEAD OF TRYING TO CHANGE ALREADY GOOD. CHICAGO IS A SHIT SHOW AND WE ALL SEE THAT. NOW THEY GOT A FRANCHISE QUARTERBACK HURT.

“They’re still humans.” That’s it isn’t it? We keep people in cages rather than a restitution based justice system that punishes criminals but restores to victims. I’m all for justice being served and this young man made it clear that he is too. But reform needs to happen. Good on this young man. I wish him the best in all he does.

The Lord put it on my heart years ago to pray for the incarcerated, and l have been doing so fervently.
I am a grandmother, and l have a grandson who is this young prodigy's 3:52 twin. The only thing is, my Derrick doesn't know beans about football; he opted for Science instead.

I just love this baby and have done so since watching him play for Ohio Buckeyes, and confessed before God and the world that he loves the Lord and gave Him the glory, honor and the praise, for all of his accomplishments. God is using him in a special way, not so much for Texans Football, but for the glory of God. CJ says himself, "give God the Praise."

All young men, regardless the color need to set up and take Notice.. What better way to do it than through a sport that Americans idolize, Football? Love him.

One thing is for sure his father won't have anything to worry about when he finally gets out of prison because his son CJ got him covered home, car, money, dad will be able to live comfortably

Some of us Ohio State fans always knew he was it. Best QB to ever come through Columbus and one of the best men. So happy for CJ and his success after all the BS he took the last few years from the media and from some more football ignorant Ohio State fans themselves.

Never have I seen a prettier thrown ball.

I’m a Texans fan, and rock with CJ. He is definitely entitled to his opinion. But if we are going to have serious talks about reform we have to talk about both sides of the issue. I have not confirmed the charges myself through credible sources, but I have read his father carjacked and kidnapped a woman. I would ask does the victim care he is living with rats and roaches? Prayers to CJ and his family I’m sure it’s tough, but I would argue that making the offenders the victim in their own crimes is already being taken too far. Which is why we currently have violent offenders out on multiple bonds walking free in the City of Houston. Again no disrespect to CJ, I am a fan. But if we are going to have serious talks, then let’s have serious talks on both sides of the issue

Stop it Stephen. He gave us a glimpse into his personal life and you say he's doing that to show what he's going through? Like he planned to get extra brownie points for playing well. No his father was on his heart and he said something because he felt something. Not because he's playing well and to show people how hard it is.

He should be an MVP candidate. Best pro quarterback THE Ohio State University has produced and he's just getting started. O-H

Car jacking, kidnapping, robbery and sexual battery in 2015. Sentenced to 38 years. Feel bad for the kid but dad earned the right to sit in that cell. Jail is a nasty place and it always has been, we must make better choices so we never have to be in that place. Remember the true victims in these types of cases are the ones the criminal act’s were done to, the family of that person and CJ and his family.
