Pharm D ( Doctor of Pharmacy)
is clinically oriented course which interacts with patients directly
those who do have done Pharm D good knowledge of allopathic medications and the whole course is about 75% similar to MBBS course, this make the Pharm D doctors eligible for independant clinic practise atleast as a general doctor .
Pharm D doctors can do CMS course extra and this will give them licence to private practise .
One more thing to mention here, private doctors in India like MBBS, BDS, BAMS etc are very sensitive about their patients and get easily offended if any third party like pharmacist suggests medications to their patients, so this attitude of private doctors in India is full of ego and very difficult to change .
