One of my friend who is an it manager was telling he hired two pakistani youths but daily they were asking time for prayers and wasting important time, and when Friday came they go to namaz and return on Monday only. He was having time with these guys. But where as Indians used to work almost non stop 28 hours when situation demands. BBC should study that also and in muslims ladies rarely goes out side for work.

The main reason is integration in British society, most of Pakistanis come to the UK and carry on living the desi life style, their kids grow up working in takeaways, hardly speak good English even if they are British born. There dreams are to built a massive house in Pakistan, buy a 2nd hand BMW, open a corner shop etc. Wishing Merry Christmas is haram to them and yet they claim benefits. Mosques are full of people yet most of them are boxed minded and know nothing about Islam or spirituality.

it's because they have ridiculous unfair demands at the workplace citing 'religious' beliefs. They take multiple breaks during working hours putting undue pressure on colleagues, they can't join work parties or eat food with the rest, they want special prayer rooms, special treatment. Most of them cover their faces so it's very disconcerting trying to speak to them. Always playing the victim card!

Mazhabi madrassa mindset has kept a large section away from job linked education . Women also are refrained from jobs with multiple children.

I have come from Pakistan after I got married I had a degree in Pakistan and I had to study here two years to top up and I am doing a very good job for the last nine years. My husband is working in a top company in London MashaAllah. In my experience and the families around, I have seen Pakistani woman sometime choose not to work. They want to stay at home. Cook food wear nice clothes and go out and about and do nothing about their career. I have seen a few women who were given chances to work, but they thought it’s too difficult. Staying at home doing nothing is better and their husbands were happy with that as well. I’ve seen a lot of Pakistani men as well who choose not to work so it’s not always racism. It’s our own peoples fault. They are basically lazy and not competitive. They can talk for hours about other peoples businesses, but will not do anything to make their own life better. They are living here like they are living in a village, with poor conditions.
They have come out of village, but village has not come out of them .

I live in UK. I’m Albanian and my wife a Romanian. We are consistently ranked amongst the most trustworthy and educated immigrants in UK.

There are many reasons other than what has been highlighted. I came here as a student and went to the top institutions here and worked in higher education sector for more than twenty years. My work was mostly contractual and whenever I tried to apply for a permanent position, it was denied. I have Masters and a PhD with an illustrious background in art and design. Many of my students (all white) now heading the institutions, departments and programmes. I have now opened my own institution/School of Miniature Painting and my own studio and have decided not to apply for any job in my adopted country. I have lived here more than I lived in my country of origin. I have lived in predominantly white areas and have diverse group of friends. I have a name which is obviously a Muslim name and I also have certain looks. There is definitely racism and discrimination against women of colour. I may be wrong but this my thirty two years of experience. I love 🇬🇧

My One cousin is an Aeronautical Engineer, second is a Computer Engineer and both are British Nationals. The first topped his university but he was not able to find even an internship in any Aero firm. Second has to leave for America and now he is earning six figures there. No one is willing to discuss that there is widespread Discrimination against Pakistanis in UK. HR is fully controlled by Indian and UK origin people. They will not let you in. Why nobody is willing to talk on this systematic discrimination in UK?

If you’re unemployed it’s hard, but don’t blame yourself, your culture, religion or community, and don’t compare yourself to others. It’s tough. Keep going.

The trouble is, people come with big dreams like money is growing on trees. Nobody wants to change anyone's religion, it is always personal, but they make mini Pakistan with ghetto participating socially in the main stream to built contacts, the word of mouth in job situations is important also. The women folk staying home, not adding to family income, just depend on social security comfort zone. Dress code also singles out. Narrow minded and judgemental approach doesn't help.

The unemployment rates in ghettoised areas are high, in areas that are a mini Pakistan like Sparkhill in Birmingham, Manningham in Bradford or Pollokshields in Glasgow

Problems are...
Language
Education
In application, you need to write British Pakistani and Muslim, and employers' preferences are white and non-Muslim. Telling you from experience... etc

Apki report boht achi aur mufeed hai par jis waqt ham England mai 93 se 96 tak ye masla nahi tha community centers mai boht se pakistani log education aur mukhtalif skills hasil karte the aur jobs bhi karte the. Ab logon ko wo pay nahi milti kam skill walon ko is liye jobs mai interest nahi hai. Aur zaiyda pasa ye properties ke kam se kamate hain har bache ke naam par ek ghar hota hai karaye ka jisko ye manage karte hain aur mera khayal hai ye bhi kam hi hai dosra hotels aur dukanay hain jo pakistani chalte hain to ye kehna ke pakistani kuch nahi karte teek nahi hai . Par han educated logon ko jobs us tarhan nahi mil rehi jis tarhan milni chahiye. Ek educated pakistani ko agar achi jobs mile ge to wo zaror kare ga. Britain ak acha mulk hai aur apne logon ka khayal rakhta hai umeed hai pakistani community ke liye bhi achi jobs create hongi.

We people lack skills determination and patience for jobs we apply for 2 jobs and then sit wait people need determination in outside world I applied for 200 jobs then got my first job and have worked in 8 companies in 9 years. Habit of blaming government where they live

Pakistani living in Finland, I have observed almost same picture here, most of us prefer limited circle and cannot easily mix up with other people.

Main reason i have observed here is-

1 Pakistani people who are already settled here in UK don't help their fellow new pakistani.. Infact we Indian people help new pakistani.. We helped alot of them to find job, to get into university, to get an apartment, etc.. But after some time when they got settled down they forget about help we did to them..thats fine but they also don't help new pakistani coming.. The cycle is endless
2 They don't integrate into new society culture. They bring baggage of their own culture in this country. Although its fine to proud of your culture but you should learn the culture wherever you go.. And don't force your culture to them.
3 They always bring religion conversation into everything. And always eager to invite or Convert others to islam. Its only Pakistani Muslim who do this. I have many Arab muslim friend but they never bring religion into conversation.

4 Language barriers..Most of them are not good at english.
5. They want to find quick money job. They don't focus on studies. They spend their money to buy IPhones and unnecessary europe trips.
6 They even hesitate to wish mary Christmas or Happy Diwali to others.. they aren't able to make friends from different group of culture. They only have friends from their own community only.
