i think i might have an explanation for the Rain Area

the whole Black Space is Sunny's repressed fears and memories
my only theory for the Mari? in this area is that when Mari was alive, she would often tell Sunny to "expand his mind". Sunny might have took it literally and imagined Mari with her brain literally expanding
so, as it's definitely a weird thing to imagine, he wanted to forget that.

probably it's the same case with Herosaurus; Hero might have asked Sunny "would you still accept me if i was a dinosaur?" and Sunny literally imagined that

i can tell what zone of blackspace is the oldest and the youngest







fishbowl zone seems oldest cause that may represent sunnys pet fish dying the very first sorrow many people get even in the oldest trauma memory about maris death leaked maybe cause the way dead fish hit the floor was the same maris lifeless body hit it not to mention that scene with mari saving you from drowning reminding of the fish









the clock zone however seems very new it represents sunnys fear of not having enough time to tell his friends the truth also i think it could be just fear of passage of time that things will never be the same again

You missed one area! You missed the green area with the digitized forest parallax in the back and "BLOOM" as the soundtrack where you kill BASIL just before he reveals the truth by splitting him in half while opening watermelons!

4:19 "Expand your mind" is a reference to something Mari says in one of the picnics in Humphrey

4:35 The thing covering Basil's face is Basil's Something ! Also, if you talk to Mari a second time, her portrait will become Something, and a third time it will be Hellmari

5:20 it's actually Mari's hair after she fell down the stairs (you see the same hair at the bottom of the stairs in the truth sequence)

6:37 I get where people starts associating the ring sound to this ending, but it is actually just this phone's sound that you hear every time it rings (I'm pretty sure every morning)

I think that the Loquacious Cat's answers are about sewing mainly, and that that's because Sunny's mother likes to sew and doesn't have any answers for Sunny about why all these horrible things happened (more like, Sunny knew if he asked she wouldn't have any answers; he didn't ask because she doesn't know the truth - or even if she does and he did ask these things she didn't have any answers for him) - remember, Sunny represents his family with cats - or maybe Sunny's mom or Mari made a stuffed animal or something for Sunny because the answers from Loquacious Cat are things needed to make a stuffed toy or bean bag or whatever
