When I first listened to this legendary track, It was on a sunny day partially cloudy and sitting on a sofa in my living room. No upload timing would have been better, the day before I was working as a barman until late at night and I had woken up so fresh and relaxed that I had the strange yet beautiful feeling of living a continous fever dream. 'Memory Lane' is the pinnacle of Tobu's artistic expansion, no other track as of today come as close and I believe this track is a once in a decade emotion. The corn field featured in the background picture of this track is iconic, nostalgic and could very well add up to the message of 'Memory Lane': 'Every human being has an opportunity for growth no matter their age, we are all in this together'. Artists like Tobu and Elektronomia are here to remind us of the glory of the past, that it shall never be forgotten and that thanks to the past we can use it as a pillar to solidify our foundations to live both present and future times in a fullfilling way. Tobu throughout his notable use of instrumentation and synths is here to remind us of the essence of the present moment that will evaporate so quick that before you realise it this very comment is 7 years old and you are reading this comment with tears of nostalgia because you went on a NCS nostalgic tour and you found this track 'Memory Lane' that induces memories of your past because it has a nostagic title. Nowadays, in whichever year you live in, be it 2029, 2032 or beyond, you might think that there is not the same type of nostalgia in NCS tracks anymore but you are wrong as I am from different timeline of yours and yet I can still communicate with you, we just live in another time dimension for you but we still exist as you are existing today. Every second, every hour and every day is nostalgic because you simply exist and as long as you exist Nostalgia will be born alive! In 2022, we also thought NCS was not as nostalgic as of today but what we did not know is that Nostalgia was still happening right in front of our eyes, so close to our sight that we would not see it! The conclusion is nostalgia is an endless circle and a type of surreal illusion in itself, nostalgia is simply phantasmagorical and the more you are obessed with it, the less enjoyable times you are going to spend because you would simply not savour the present time anymore. Searching for nostalgia in the present time is like trying to touch a rainbow with your bare hands!
