We have a county hazardous waste site that takes any paint you give them! They give it away for free or combine it together like this. Mix it up to Grey and it's great!

Hey "Now This'ers'! I'm a consultant working for PaintCare. PaintCare is a Not-for Profit which manages paint stewardship in the 11-states and the District of Columbia, which have passed the stewardship legislation. At 4:03 of this piece you sited a statistic, "management of leftover paint costs local governments more than $8 per gallon." I was wondering where you got that number from please? Can you offer a citation or link? In my work with PaintCare we have been trying to identify costs associated with managing post-consumer paint waste and to this point, our research has found that stat illusive. How do you make sure the colors stay the same when you're mixing colors from other paints, mixes, etc.
