'Inscriptions' | brianburrmusic

'Inscriptions' is a special song and video for me. I felt I had to get something out and we decided to make this video while I was in the midst of moving from a house I had just sold, to a new house I just bought. So, believe me, things got hectic! But, we also got lucky - with the weather and with the concept we worked with. And, and we ended up finishing the final edit on the night before I moved!! So, it got crazy, challenging and really fun!
The audio was made by the same team of talented professionals that have delivered my previous songs: Claus Kilpatrick, on piano, arranging strings and producing. On guitar: Alain Apaloo, making those wonderful, and atmospheric fills and inserts. On bass: Helge Solberg. Drums and percussion filled by Fleming Rothaus, Claus and Lasse Illington, who did a great job with diverse requests for input. This one was written with me by my friend, brother and inspiration, Regnar Egekvist.
After trying mixes with 3 different producers, I ended up doing the final mix myself with the ever so reliable and capable Kristian Dalsgard, at Ark Studios. Mastering was done by Streaky, in London.
The video is, as usual, engineered by the capable hands of Nic Delgado with assistance from Mary J Consult. It's a team I've come to rely on, and appreciate greatly for their skills, competence, fun and patience.
I hope you like this one! It was born out of real chaos, but I think it has something special. I hope you feel the same. "What is it about?" Oh, I leave that up to you!! Once it's delivered, it's really out of our hands and up to the listener and viewer to determine what it all means. I trust your opinions!!
For me, this has religious and secular themes, about absurdities, and realities. A collection of images that I hope import some meaning and substance for you!
Most of all, just Enjoy!!!
