Best cowboy song ever written… was written by an Irish black dude.

RIP Phil Lynott and Rory Gallagher, the 2 best Irish rockers of all time. ✌️

This has been my favorite Thin Lizzy song since it came out. Never gets old.

Yes, yes, yes! You are finally getting it. Thin Lizzy is the most underrated band I know. Lynott's textured and emotive vocals, Downey's masterful drumming, and Gorham and Robertson's blazing guitars! And the Live and Dangerous album version bangs harder! Dive deeper boys, the catalog is big.

The guitar solos in this song are amazing. So emotive.

One of the great dual guitar bands of the 70s. Live & Dangerous is in the top tier of double live albums to ever come out.

Their cover of Bob Seger's 'Rosalie" is so good that Seger asked them to open for him and cut the song from his set and ceded it to them

That's how good it is

You have to appreciate both the guitar tone and the build throughout the song to the final guitar solo. That’s how you bring it home

I'll admit it: I've never been in love with Thin Lizzy and wasn't looking forward to this reaction (having never heard the song). But I was wrong. It was terrific.

As much Thin Lizzy as I've heard over the decades, it just occurred to me today how wonderful the drummer is.

The live version of this is great, especially when they blend it into Bob Seger's "Rosalie", another stone cold belter you need to hear.

Thank you, cowboys! This has been one of my favorite Lizzy songs since it came out back in the 70s. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, as I knew you would. Great reaction and comments, as usual. 🙏🙏

My first concert ever as 16yo in 1977, it was awsome. I would pick Emerald as your next Lizzy song.

Guys, it's an S. You've handed out so many A+ ratings and this is an iconic song. It'll never get old. It will always be stellar even 50 years from now. And the song grows on you. In a year you'll probably be going "yep, that's an S".

Needs to be heard live guys it's just so much better. The Live And Dangerous album from 1978 has a brilliant live version of this. That record flows like and actual Lizzy concert.
