Vanessa Hudgens, Ana Villafañe, and Anthony Ramos in Lin-Manuel Miranda's In the Heights

The Kennedy Center is gearing up to present Lin-Manuel Miranda's In the Heights, running March 21-25 as a part of the inaugural season of Broadway Center Stage, a series of musicals in semistaged concerts. The all-star production will feature Vanessa Hudgens as Vanessa, with Ana Villafañe as Nina, and Anthony Ramos as Usnavi. I like how in this version, they had Vanessa dancing solo when all the guys were drooling over her because it kind of adds a new sense of independence to the character. She was like “I came to this club with someone and, if he doesn’t want to dance, I’ll dance on my own”
