As a minority (im not african american though) I have so much gratitude to the African American community. They stood up for their rights, but also for all other minorities. The diversity of America and its present day prosperity would be non-existent if it werent for their hard work and contributions. People can say what they want about African Americans, but at the end of the day they are the community that truly shaped the United States and its present day values, and brought it into the modern world. As an Asian person I could honestly say that Black Americans are the foundation of the US. If it weren’t for them none of us minorities would have had as much rights as we currently have. I will forever support and stand up for the black community.

Update 6/4/2020: I’m actually really surprised with how many responses my comment received. I would like some of you to understand that my initial comment was not meant to dismiss other racial groups’ suffering. To those who thanked me, please don’t.
