As an Apple M1 Macbook Air user I'm really glad I didn't buy this. The notch, the thickness, and the price tag is a huge setback imo. Liked the video. Hope this helps.

It makes me sick that they did this. Steve Jobs sat up in his grave and cried. Apple has truly lost their way. I would have preferred a chin or wider bezel. Also, get rid of the rounded corners on everything. Nothing in tech is round Apple! A professional device doesnt have to look like a kids toy. The ONLY saving grace is that the notch doesnt display on an external monitor. I was hopeful it was finally going away on the iPhone. Now everyone is trying to market the notch as a "feature" or an "enhancement!" I wanted to order a new MBP but now I'm not sure. I may just get a 13in M1 and pray enough people hate the notch like me and they do away with it quickly.

Prior Macbooks also had a notch, it simply was the width of the display.

At $2, 000+ it's a design flaw.

It feels like lazy, rushed implementation seeing as how there's still software glitches after the product started selling. At this much money, this type of compromise to me is a deal breaker.

I have 2019 16" and was going to order the 2021 one on the first day it was available, but then came the notch. I didn't like it during the demo, but I thought may be I could live with that. I went to Apple store, saw it, played with it, and decided to keep my 2019 MBP.

I was keeping an open mind about the notch, until I've seen how it splits the menu options in the top system bar. Now I just think it looks ridiculous. Sort of me reminds me of the awkward Magic Mouse charging design.

The notch helped me to decide not to upgrade my 2019 -16”MBP.. plus apple often changes their minds after several years, like removing MagSafe, SD card and hdmi ports only to bring them back again etc.

One thing I noticed is that they programmatically changed the corners, to make it so the mouse automatically curves around
