Does anyone remember when two Typhoons were scrambled to intercept an unidentified helicopter ? They passed near Coventry and the sonic boom is something I'll never forget . Seemed to come from the whole sky at once, nothing like I expected .

I remember reading once that it took a Spitfire about 8 minutes to get to fighting altitude. This is amazing.

Seen plenty of these at air shows and the things these aircraft can do is beyond comprehension and normal flying dynamics. They scare me doing tame tricks id dread to see 1 at full combat level. The noise the power the impossible agility and sublime skills needed to fly 1 is just breath taking

In my Dad’s Cessna Turbo 210, this took 20 minutes from takeoff to reach that altitude.
