3.2 percent is crazy. It needs to be at least 45 percent with all the inflation and house prices

3.2% is a joke. Senior citizens not working and on fixed incomes need another 8.5 % increase this year at least, just to survive.

That isn't 💩 for what it costs to live.... 2 years ago because of the mega increase of EVERYTHING and mega inflation then (and it's even worse now), it was calculated that for just basic living expenses, plus car/insurance /gas and Food, a single person would need at least 3, 000. 00 a month and that wouldn't even cover any unexpected extra expenses or repairs etc ., people on SS and disability who have paid in their whole working life STILL live BELOW Poverty and this so called "Cost of Living" increase doesn't even touch a drop in the bucket of ACTUAL cost of living.
This, as usual, is a slap in the face to EVERYONE who is trying to survive on this.

Maybe the money Uncle Sam sends to these foreign countries to fight their battles would be better served to fight the battles the elderly face everyday to make it from month to month..The 50 dollar raise a month is a slap in the face... illegals crossing the border are treated better than our government treats it's own citizens...Its not only pathetic it's a disgrace..now that our elderly has the numbers to make a change at the polls during election time it's time to take a stand and make these changes we desperately need..This is unacceptable.

Regular ssi is only going up 29 dollars. What a disgusting joke. There are a lot of people who "need" and are on ssi for many reasons, and not even getting a meezly grand a month in todays world is beyond disgusting.

I don't believe Social Security should not be taxed at all.

That's good because Medicare premiums are going up too.

$19 increase is like a slap in the face while giving illegal immigrants $3, 000 but SSI can't even get $1, 000

Compared to the free stuff given to others, this increase is pitiful. What a country!

The USA government treats poorly the working Americans, this raise in nothing, while we send billions to Ukraine, and support Israel social benefits for all citizens, retirement homes, free health with our tax money, benefits we can only dream with.
My supermarket has very elderly working, because of their needs.
They are way passed 70.
Is time that Social Security, Medicare is ONLY for whom we contribute, not for the elderly relatives of immigrants legal or not, refugees.
And cut Medicaid.
We have to pay from our pockets if we want the better quality lenses for cataract surgery, or glaucoma surgery that is not cover.
When we get a raise, also Medicare goes up.

and federal employees, our employees, funded by our tax dollars, will receive 5.2%. how does that make sense? and what do we do about it?

Social Security: Gave a raise of 2.3% to the Americans across the board!
According to the polls the cost of living went up 7.8% according to the stats! So example if you had a $908 monthly check you received a raise of $21 that does NOT come out to 7.8 to compensate for the rise in cost of living! The amount of the raise to compensate for the rise of the cost of living should have been $71. 00 Not the insulting $21.00 2.3% raise to the rise of living 7.8 insulting Ukraine unfortunately got it!
