they are not in hiatus. the translation wasn’t accurate. they are just going do more solo activities including their group activities such as their own variety show run bts. They have planned all the members album release one after the other before coming together and release another album as group.

if you are not a kpop fan then you’ll know bts is one of the few groups who never do anything solo apart their group. few members have collaborated in songs or projects but don’t go for promotions or appear on anything that is not going to profit to them as a group. some of them have only released solo mixtapes that don’t profit them. all kpop groups should live together for at least their rookie years but they are also one of the few groups that lived together for more than 10 years in a dorm inspite them having their own house. their dorm contract just ended so they are just not going renew them and going to live separately this time.
