Just like others said before in the comments if you want a smooth finish and it covering the whole pan you need to melt the product. With the Charlotte Tilbury packaging you can take out the pan as the compact is refilable if that makes it easier. You could then put the pan on a straigthener but a cup or candle warmer works too. An other way is using a blow dryer or heat gun but that is more messy.
