Learning Norwegian is a must if you want to live here.
A lot of immigrants in Norway fail and struggle to find a job because they can't speak Norwegian and if you can't understand the language it will be very difficult to find a job.

I don't live in Norway as I'm still interviewing with Norwegian companies (IT) to be able to apply on UDI, but as an expat I can fully back up your arguments. I moved from Venezuela to Chile and even if you remove the language barrier it's still wayyyy easier to integrate to a new place if you pick up things from the local culture; you don't have to abandone your own culture but you'll notice some things that make you stand out if you understand them well, language being one of those.

How did you learn Norsk and how long does it take you to achieve B2 (professional fluency)?
