"it's not compatible with my individuality complex" is my new favorite reason not to wear something.

How dare youtube hide this from me for 40 seconds?

i fully agree about adding interest via texture and small details versus shape and layering. i think companies (and people) tend towards louder forms of uniqueness because they are more photographic and easier to visually digest immediately. quieter elements take longer for the viewer to put their finger on. more subtle details ask to hold your attention longer.

to that point, my favorite ebay listings are the ones that say "material is hard to capture in a photo but its lovely"

Hating on cropped jackets is SO REAL, it's actually unbelievable how much Bershka and other fashion brands are pushing short jackets while also selling mostly oversized tshirts...like how tf am I supposed to go around, with everything tugging out and a bare tummy in full winter??😭🙏🏻

Yo ash your videos have been really enlightening, especially listening as a guy - would live to hear about how you'd dress people who don't have the "ideal" body for fashion, i.e. wide waist / shorter torso etc - much love!

You may not look like Edna Mode, but you have the expertise and attitude of her that I can't help but deeply appreciate.

skin is glowing here by the way. personally can't stand big logos on t shirts, hoodies or jumpers, but yes, a size or two too big is always a good fit.

As an italian man looking around sometimes, the sentiment couldn't resonate more.
Besides, i like how you started out with "fashion trends in menswear worn as a women" but in reality just destroyed said trends and went "nah but this is better" on almost everything haha

And even though i'm, alas, not exactly drowning in womens fashion opinions on the daily, for reference, lol, it was a pleasant surprise listening to how neatly you argumented non-conformist takes, and not just the usual "for the sake of" being 'alt' or 'hip', which ultimately is just another trend.
If people thought of trends as "merely a suggestion of a set of themes that generally get accepted from time to time", they'd have an easier time seeing that you don't need to be trendy in order to be stylish (think you already said this), and conversely, you can still look ridiculous in the trendiest clothes if you lack taste, sense of design and contextual awareness.

For mens vintage it's really hard to criticize sports clothes from both sides. It's like the golden compromise of materials, comfort, versatility, fit, style and accessibility... and frankly i can't think of any reason why more women should not consider them as a go-to safe bet for a baggy fit. In fact, i think it looks just as good and oftentimes much more attractive if someone has it nailed down, compared to a lot of modern yet usually 'one-dimensional' and flimsy pieces, but i'm biased on this one.
Hell, i can even uno-reverse-card this and say that my favorite jogging jacket has been a women's vintage lightblue Arena windbreaker (XL) that i've thrifted and had for some years now.. it has the perfect not-too-flappy not-too-snug fit!

For T-shirts: heavy cotton>>> anything else hands down. Better in winter, better in summer. Drapes much nicer most of the times. Feels twice as good to wear. Just another instance of us getting robbed by modern cheap & light..
Down here back in the day "Fruit of the Loom" was legendary for heavy cotton sports/printed tees! Haven't seen them in a while..

For trainers i wanted to suggest you check out Diadora, italian tennis shoes. I know they are a (off)white base and minimalistic, not your cup of tea, but their 'Game' model is a leather outer + stitched soles combo making for one of the most killer year-round comfortable beaters with a low profile and a slick silhouette if need be.

Anyways, not sure how i ended up getting recommended fashion lmao, but it was so nice listening i fancied sharing some thoughts. I'm not a fashion person in any way (though you might say it's in our blood) but let me tell you, there is a LOT of judging and fashion patrolling to be done looking around here seeing younger people's wardrobe and life choices, especially near Milan obviously!

I was originally coming from your male fashion video and it was a ride. Among these two videos you nailed it, your taste is great.
..And you know why? Because there was exactly one exception that confirmed the rule. None other than Italy's public enemy no.1: The dreaded Birkenstocks!!

11:50 i am algerian and i am so proud that you are interesting by our rich culture ! Every jewelry got symbols that represent something (most of the time according to women; power, strengh, protection, fertility, feminity etc.). If you go to morocco, i recommand you to ask the seller what the symbol of the ring you want to buy means, maybe he/she is the artisan of it, or they know what the symbol means 😉 ⵣ

Now people like you are what I call a fashionista. People who just like things because they like things. Not trying to look cool or something. I personally don't like the individual items but seeing someone liking them so much is really fun.
