Music: “50 Million Year Trip” – Karl Casey @ White Bat Audio

On June 30, 1908, a massive explosion in the sky occurred over the Tunguska region of Siberia. People saw a strange blue light they described as brighter than the sun, which turned red and filled the sky with a bright flash. This was visible from 500 miles away. About 10 minutes later they heard what sounded like a bomb.

The blast was so massive that it flattened over 800 square miles of forest and the shockwave was recorded as far out as London. It literally knocked people off their feet and it shattered windows 250 miles away. It was estimated to be a thousand times more powerful than the atomic bombs dropped on Japan in World War 2. Luckily, it took place over an extremely remote area because this would have easily wiped out a major city. You can still clearly see the epicenter of the blast zone to this day. Not much grows inside it anymore.

Initially the blast was thought to be an asteroid or a comet strike. However, there was no impact crater and no substantial meteor or comet fragments of any kind found. This led to some strange theories, including mini-black holes and extraterrestrial origins. The most plausible theory is that it was an asteroid or comet, but one that exploded in the atmosphere before impact. We still don’t know for sure, though.

Was the Tunguska Event just a big rock from space? Or was it something even more out of this world? What do you think?

They found trees with particles of Iridium embedded in them meaning that it was indeed a comet of space origin.

It also impregnated the soil, making the flora grow at a remarkable rate compared to normal seasonal growth in comparison to surrounding regions

It could also have been composed of solid carbon dioxide (dry ice) which would have left no physical remains. There is an Iridium anomaly in the area, though consistent with it being an asteroid or comet.

It's curious though how it managed to find the least populated place on earth

Nikola Tesla told an artic explorer to look for a ‘sign’ on that day in the sky. Tesla then realized just how powerful his discovery was.

That was caused by the Death Ray of Nicola Tesla.

Even a mini black hole has enough mass to take out the planet.

150 meter cometary fragment exploding 5 miles up. Pure and simple.

I read somewhere that Nicola Tesla was working on something the same day that happened, halfway around the world (some kind of earthquake machine or something) and when he tried to use it, nothing happened. He later found out that this happened on the opposite side of earth at basically the same time he was messing with whatever it was he was trying to use, and he was scared because he thought he could have caused it when he turned his machine on.

Some say it was Nikola Teslas experiment gone wrong

Wonder if that spot is radioactive today?

for this event i read that no one even went out for a long time to study the area. if they waited that long would much of anything be left to study or find?

For all we know it could have been some secret weapons test

There was something (meteor, I think) in Russia a few years ago that exploded in the sky an it caused destruction for hundreds of miles. Not to that extent as pictured here, but it did break a lot windows.

No one tells you that tesla was working on his death rate at that time and that was the result.😮

I seem to recall that the area was so remote that no one even got up there for 20 years to investigate it.

You know not all trees were knocked over... The ones at ground zero only had their branches stripped off
