Very impressive young man. This idealism of your family did not mar your Business & Business interest of your family but it is sad that this hampered your personal life. Because their (TVS) family idealism was different from both of you, the young couples did not realize it at that point in time.
Since I was closely working with Venu's Office, placed at then Bombay. If I would have continued with Venu then, definitely, I would have come across you/your family, and I would have cautioned/ pointed it out. This is the one regret I'm carrying since then. But now I'm in Mumbai but no more Venu's office.
Almost both the then families' ideals and values are more or less the same. Venu & RNR are the same faces of a coin pertaining to idealism, thoughts, discipline, modesty, etc., but your ex appears to be more influenced by her mother & mother's side.
Happy to know that your are moved out of this and reinvented yourself & new family life. We appreciate and are proud of holding your point firm about your interest at the cost of your married life with the TVS family.
