Restore a Missing Camera App on iPhone

Sometimes, for whatever reason, the Camera-app has a tendency to simply disappear. Most common is that it happens after an update of the iOS operating system. However sometimes it happens without any clear cause at all. Anyways, this is how you (hopefully) can get the app back again! ⁤

I was worried after step 1 failed to solve my problem, but thankfully you had three possible solutions. The Wife finally has her camera back. Yay! Since this is a not-so-unusual occurrence, what causes the camera to disappear? In the description, you address this question.
