Creating transitional outfits is one of my favourite things to do to create a versatile wardrobe. Trans-seasonal outfits help you to wear your pieces all year round and truly get the most out of your outfits. Trans-seasonal outfits can also be a great thing to reach for when you are in a lul with your wardrobe. Bringing out a summer dress in the middle of winter almost feels like you have a new dress again!

Love this, Emily. I have all these items but would never have thought of the leggings under the skirt. Genius tip as are the various belt hacks. Was longing to see your shearling jacket make an appearance with that dress and the knee high boots though! Fanta behind the glass door was hysterical. xo

Excellent suggestions. I own 4 dresses that I wear year round (Canada). Each dress has a different color palette & pattern. I then add basics to them according to season. I have pumps, ankle boots and knee boots in both black & brown (I don't wear trainers or slides). I have only 1 purse and a couple of scarves as accessories (I don't like belts & don't wear jewelry). I don't like fussing with clothes and keep a very simple & small amount of clothing pieces.

Personally I hate things as fussy as making a dress into a skirt, but I love layering turtle neck skivvys under sleeveless dresses! I’d do that combined with your other winter tips :)
