Here is a cover I did in my second solo album "II" based on a traditional Christmas carol, from my home town Orestiada in Thrace Greece. My good friend Dafy, who is a traditional clarinet player from the area performed the melody and a solo in a common clarinet traditional approach, we use in our traditional music. Also there is an amazing performance on percussion and a solo from the incredible Pete Lockett. Enjoy.

Wow! My wife's dad is from Murefte on the Turkish side (she calls it Trakya). This is the kind of beat I dance to in Turkish summers- quite tricky for my Western European feet - the only way I can keep up is by counting the beats whilst I'm dancing! Hard do do after a few rakis!
Thanks for treating us to a very unique carol which we would never have heard if it was not for your broadcast. It's a blessed relief from listening to "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday" on the radio!
