EDC Flashlights- Olight-Nicron

I like my olight flashlights and was pleasantly suprised when I recieved a Nicron B70 in my Battlbox subscription. If youre looking for a flashlight for every day carry, a bug out bag, or for general use Olight and Maglite are two great brands. I have only ever owned one Nicron so I cant speak to the quality of other Nicrons.

swivel-head nicron flashlights basically cant be beaten in terms of size x price x flexibility of use, especially the N7 that uses 14500/AA

I wish O light would make a Twist light like Nicron my 2 fav FL companies I own from Nicron N7, N72UV, N8, N81, N9, B10, B70+, B74, B24, G10A, N73 from Olight I currently own 2 FB-1 flash to bike lights and Omni Dok battery charger I find myself using it more than my nitecore i4

Have you tried the Nicron B10 it’s similar to the Olight i1R chain light but it has a removable battery.

Those smaller two lights can use rechargeable NiMH. I prefer it that way, not having extra length added for a charging interface, for something you want small on your keychain or separate in your pocket... bit different for men who carry everything in their pockets EDC, I couldn't imagine ever wanting to EDC 3 lights at once unless camping and then it's more about having more battery capacity rather than cells loose in holders barely smaller than another light, and not having the extra bulk and weight of a USB charge pack.

Nicron B70 is okay, but I feel like it's going to lose sales to the newer Nicron N9, also an 18650 twisty head light but less expensive, now around $16 on Amazon. It doesn't do red or green, but frankly it's rare that I need red or green.

Ultimately I don't see the need for the in-between sizes unless it's your only EDC light. I want one tiny light for keychain and one just big enough for an 18650 cell and near 1000lm, with a lower mode that can run a few hours. For someone who only wants one EDC then I'd sooner recommend one of the various 14500 cell powered lights like Ultratac A1 or Lumintop tool, unless you simply must have more battery capacity. Depends on where you find yourself on a daily basis, the situations, how much light it makes sense to carry around every day opposed to only when you're more likely to need it.

Love O-light! I got the O-pen2 recently and I'm very impressed with it. I also use a thru-nite as an EDC.
