As a Simpsons fan, Union Strike Folk Song from Season 4: Last Exit to Springfield is one of my favorites. I made this best quality version so that people can really enjoy this full song.

If you like this quality, you might be interested to find my remastered version of Season 1 to 3. Season 4 coming up.

[Verse 1: Lisa Simpson]
Come gather 'round children, it's high time ye learn
About a hero named Homer and a devil named Burns

[Verse 2: Lisa Simpson]
We'll march till we drop, the girls and the fellas
We'll fight to the death or else fold like umbrellas

[Chorus: Lisa Simpson]
So we'll march day and night by the big cooling towers
They have the plant, but we have the power

[Chorus: All]
So we'll march day and night by the big cooling towers
They have the plant, but we have the power

I used to watch Simpsons a long time ago. I remember this song. It was so beautiful and moving. I did just rewatch the episode to refresh my memory. The whole episode was good. It is nice for Homer to be a union leader for a while. At the end, Lisa got the braces she needed. This episode is still so relevant today. Extreme capitalism has corrupted America. I wish the unions were brought back. I also wish for universal free Healthcare. I am glad that this video has all the parts of the song without other footage. I would like to add this to my liberal politics music playlist. Unions are definitely a liberal thing. Looking back I noticed that this song reminds me of two awesome songs. One is "The Times They are a Changing" by Bob Dylan. It is protest song that starts by having people come gather around. Accepting change is liberal by definition.. I have that song in the playlist too. Peter Paul and Mary did a cover of it, and that is awesome too. Another song is the Who song from the Grinch Stole Christmas. The people sing a beautiful moving song in a circle. Then the mean one gets a change of heart, and has some kind of redemption. The similarity is hammered home by the way Burns is acting in a confused manner. The Grinch story does remind me of the Christmas Carol. Both are my favorite two Christmas specials. Both have an antihero learning to love Christmas. For Christmas Carol, the version I like is the Disney one. It is Mickey's Christmas Carol. I would like to find a video of the theme song and add it to the list. The story isn't political per se. It does have major themes of charity and generosity. This is a major part ofthe liberal spirt. My playlist also has "Feed the Birds" from Mary Poppins. It is a beautiful moving song with the same theme. I think Burns got off pretty easy. Sure it is tough having a strike. However he got a nice song out of it. Burns is lucky that he didn't get haunted by four ghosts (including Marley) and get horrifying visions. That would have been so much more brutal. Yikes!
