This was one of my granddaddy's favorite song. I'd sit in his hospital room for hours sometimes. And I held his hand when I knew the end was near. I sang this as he drifted away to heaven. Your hearing is the last of your senses to go when you're dying. He went so peacefully while stroked his hair. And I sang it again for his funeral in front of all my family who had no earthly clue I could sing.😉
