A year ago I was drinking 2.5L of water daily, and I had to stop drinking 4 hours before bedtime or I’d still get up to pee.

I had this problem for years and it had nothing to do with all the ‘causes and cures’ you see on YouTube. I went from going 3 to 4 times a night to one and sometimes none.
The problem had to do with eating or not eating. If I went to bed on an empty stomach I would toss and turn all night and get up 3 to5 times. If I eat a decent meal about 6 or 6:30 PM the trips went to one or none.
Try this before you follow the advice of the YouTube ‘doctors’.
