It's really unfortunate that Ghana still sticks to the ancient method of recruitment. What is more can the recruiting authorities explain the essence behind disqualifying somebody because of the height stature? MIKE TYSON used to knock down at ease challengers who were more taller than himself so also was our own good old AZUMAH ZOOM ZOOM NELSON. To this end i feel it's about time Ghana refrained from such utter nonsense and keeps itself abreast with time .After all what matters most for an immigration officer is certainly not his height or stature rather, his intelligence, agility, ability, love and the determination to serve diligently his motherland.

I suspect the height was introduced to disqualify most of we Ashantis and Akyem people, now I know why our security services have less Ashantis and Akyem. We should go to Supreme Court and sue for discrimination.

Why does height matter? Why do we stick to these archaic criteria to disqualify people? This is insane. Citizens have to create themselves to be tall? How is something beyond the control of humans a disqualification criterion?
My friend Yaw Kwaa who is shorter than some of the people there was recruited into the US Army and is serving currently. His height didn't matter. What matters is one's ability to carry out an assigned task.

We call it "Elimination by Rough Tactics". Ghana is buried in the ancient days. The country is hard. No jobs for graduates. The system doesn't favour entrepreneurship, so there's limited choice for these highly qualified applicants. Frustration! I wish them luck in their endeavors. They'll be fine.
