This gives a whole new meaning to “if you’re lost, you can look, and you will find me. Time after time.”

I bet Christian Lauper would also be extremely proud of his great great granddaughter. She’s pretty amazing in her own right. 🧚‍♀️❤

I use to play her cassette tape nonstop for my two daughters on my TRIBAL RESERVATION where we lived. We didn’t have electricity or running water but my girls always have excellent memories because they would play in their swimming pool outside on the REZ in the mountains ⛰ and listen to her and they would dance 🕺🏻 to her fun music 🎼. Cindi that’s what I remember when I see you 👀…your exceptional heartfelt talent ❤️ with unique pop genre back in the 80’s.

Luckily, these records weren't lost. Ancestry looked and they found them, time after time.

She's very lucky to be able to trace an ancestor back to 1614.

I've always liked Cindi. A woman who does not follow the crowd but dances to her own beat. Now seriously she has to write a song about Hootville.

Any time you find out that your ancestors fought hard for such a good cause that is inspiring to hear, ty Cindy for sharing the story about it.

When Cyndi and Madonna broke through around the same time in the 80s, Cyndi was considered the one with the talent. 🙏🏻

My grandmother was the oldest of 13. Born in 1904. She was not allowed to go to school. She became a burlesque dancer in S.F., CA., and supported her family during the depression. I am an artist and a private chef. She was the chef of our family

So excited to know my fave singer has Swiss descendants- I hope she makes her way to Switzerland ( and sees how cool Huttwil is)

It's fascinating to find out your heritage 👍
Sometimes you find heroes, but sometimes you find bums

She looks so conservative! I didn’t recognize her! She’s beautiful no matter her hair colour or makeup. It’s hard to believe she’s in her 60’s. 💞
Love her so much!

It's always great to find out who your ancestors were to find the traits you carry.
One thing we found was that our dad's biological mother was Scandinavian but we know nothing about her. We are mostly Native American and dad was 6' 1" tall w pitch black wavy hair. Most of the other Native men in the community were 5'8"at the most. The Scandinavian that came out in me was that between birth and 5 years old, my hair was very light brown w platinum blonde bangs. When I turned 6, it was almost completely dark brown. We want to know more about our Scandinavian family. Grandma Susie was adopted by the Tribe and spoke the language fluently and eventually married a Native man.
