Dual Form Nails - Common MISTAKES

In this video, I will share common mistakes when doing nails with dual forms. I used polygel technology as an example, but most of these problems refer to any technology - hard gel, acrylic or polygel.

Top 10 Dual forms Nail Extensions mistakes -
Choosing flat dual forms
Sticky layer - remove from the base coat
Fitting the dual form - smaller
Application - too thick near cuticle / side walls
Application - too flat all over - no apex
Application - not enough product near cuticle - bubbles+
Pressing too much - the product squeezed out
Too close to the cuticle
Not cleaning the product underneath
Filing the cuticle area and sidewalls / underneath

Which of those mistakes have you ever done?

I just love dual forms. I cant use acrylic because it causes contact dermatitis due to the monimer. I tried dip powder with nail glue and tips, but was never satisfied with the end result and they broke off too easily. Dual forms were a total game changer for me. Now my nails look professional and I’m proud to tell people I did them myself when they ask who does them.

Just doing some polygel for the first time. I put the dual form backwards and got a number printed onto it haha

As a nail tech, I don't use dual forms anymore when my clients want polygel extensions. I find paper forms much easier to use and are mess free. But for beginners, this is great 😊

I always struggled. But the last time I did my polygel with nails forms, I did it twice, thin-ish with the clips to press the forms down so it cures. I like how it came out. Perfect thickness (for me)

I love the fact that she was very specific about every single material used in this vídeo for example if she used slip she said and if she used alcohol she said it. Great job!!

I think I'm going to try polygel next but I'm so nervous to make a mess of it. Absolutely loving your channel and I so appreciate all these tutorials!!

I'm trying my nails for the first time. You are the first one to remind me not to put to little and to only press ever so lite. I just had to restart my nail. Thankfully I'm only on my first nail
