My parents were friends for almost 7 years before my dad got the courage to ask her out. In that time they both dated several people and my mom even got engaged to someone else before he broke it off. After my dad asked her out they dated for 3 years before getting married. They have been married for 23 years now. My dad got out of the friend zone before it was even really called the friend zone.

The fact he waited for 4 years, fell more and more in love with her every single day and still does even years later just goes to show that they were meant for each other. That look he had in the pictures from high school, you could tell she had his heart from the day he met her.

Wow if you notice that around the 2008 mark right before the 2009 clip starts he was singing a song that sounded familiar.  Well I looked it up and it is a song that Rhett and 2 other friends wrote and Joe Nichols recorded called "Gimme that girl".

I'm so glad to finally see another couple that found each other so early in life. my husband and I meet in 1998 and still going strong. I have never had even a thought about any one else and my friends always comment about how he never he looks at a pretty girl. True Love is Awesome and is unstoppable.
