D&D 2K is so bad that it's good, especially if you are a D&D player. My headcanon is the entire movie is a campaign run by a first-time DM and players. The DM hasn't mastered doing voices yet, which is why you have the super monotone empress and super ham Jeremy Irons. The elf lady and the dwarf didn’t join Ripley and Snails because their players couldn’t make it that session.

Dungeons and Dragons is a guilty pleasure. Terrible but I still enjoy it.

The 2000's D&D may have been rather cliche, but it was a pretty good film adaptation the time.

Jack Frost also held a pretty good premise of a father trying to redeem himself in the eyes of his family.

Gods of Egypt is a long winded take in the story of the battle between Set and Horus for the throne of Egypt, and those who are unfamiliar with Ancient Egyptian Mythos will be scratching their heads. Than again, thos that have seen the play of Hamlet, or the movie the Lion King, may see similarities to hold on to while watching the film.

In the Name of the King won the Razzie for Worst Director (for Uwe Boll), and started an online petition demanding that Uwe Boll stop making movies based on video games.

"Dragonball Evolution" was the prime example of a mean-spirited story caused by lazy writing

Irons knew how terrible the movie was, he hammed it up for the flick. He makes it entertaining.

The Eragon film was literally just Star Wars with a dragon thrown in it. Boy runs away from home because his home is wrecked by an evil empire. He follows a mentor figure across the world. He tries raid an enemy base because a princess calls out for help while the mentor figure sacrifices himself so he can escape. I could go on...but y'all should get my point. Books were nothing like it.

Eragon. I can understand how the fans at the time felt about the movie, when I started reading the book back in middle school. They missed/cut out lots of the plot from it. Though it is bad, I find it to be one of my comfort movies and somewhat enjoy it. I'm actually reading the whole series now and currently halfway finished with Inheritance (reading it for the first time). Hopefully Disney would make a better version of the books since their doing a reboot of the whole series...

I find the lack of comments disturbing...

I knew Avatar was going to be a flop as soon as I heard that they were going to smush the entire first season into a single movie. I knew this before I heard Shamalan was going to direct it. Take a popular tv series with 26 episodes per season. Now try to condense all of that into a single movie. You would need to cut SO many things out that what was left would have none of the magic that the fans want to see that made the series so great. The breakneck pacing with no time to breathe or digest also turns off casual viewers who just want a fun movie. They might have been able to do it right is they would have done two movies per season, but whatever.
