Story time! I was irrevocably in unrequited love for 11 years. It started when I was 12 and he was 17 I always looked at him like he hung the moon and stars every time you came to visit from college, I would be so excited to tell him that I was another year older or how many months until I’m another year older he was one of the few people that always stood up for me and chose me when other people were picking on me even against my family always around during the holidays. when I started getting older he would kiss the top of my head and I fantasize about it for years and when I was 17 he asked me to help him come get boardgames out of his car that he bought for us and it was only one board game scrabble, the energy had shifted between us, and he went to hug me and everything was like it was electric when we were staring at each other. I chickened out and laid my head on his chest instead of kissing him like I wanted to we split paths and I haven’t seen him since but I did reach out to him when I was about 20 and I embarrassed myself because I was drunk and I confessed to him and he completely ghosted me.
