Ta-ku is back with his new single, “Notice” out via Future Classic.

Inspired by the relationship I have with my father - 'Notice' is the song my younger self would sing if he knew that he could. No relationship is perfect but sometimes it's nice to say exactly what you feel.

First hand, a broken childhood creates you or breaks you.

Growing up for me is such a pain to think about.

For me it was no fun, when I was about 5 my father was killed, stabbed or shot I’ve heard a couple different stories but doesn’t really matter how I guess cause there was no dad.

Right after that most of my childhood was what we see in this art piece Ta-ku made.

Fighting, screaming, hitting, stealing.

Man.. after man.

Teachers at school were worried, parents would never let me hang out with their kids and I honestly thought it was my own fault.

I held onto that for so long until the day came when I had kids of my own.

I know what kind of parent and man I never want to be.

My kids are happy and smile and laugh, growing up I just never had that so I think I’m doing pretty damn good.

Ta-ku and everybody that helped make this. thank you.🙏

I don’t know what having a father feels like. He left my mother when I was 4 months old. Growing up without him — like many others of our post-soviet generation — wasn’t a big tragedy, but some holes won’t be sewn...
Now I know how to work with that sort of pain. I have a lighthouse in my heart. That was/is fuel, that was/is constantly relevant experience — no doubt...
My mother died 5 years ago, so I don’t have parents anymore, looking forward to create my own family (like I always did — since my adolescence). Without borders for tenderness and attention; with a clear response to everything around, everything inside; without fake promises.
We all need to go further. Love is us.
