You're right, the most exciting thing about this album is their potential as a group. They left us wanting more and hinted that they enjoy sonic exploration, which is why I see black midi succeeding in the future. Good review Anthony!

Black midi will perform in Russia on the same stage with Death Grips and Sophie the next weekend. I guess if Melon knows about it, he will get a heart attack of not having an opportunity to moshpit here

The album isn't perfect but it's by far the most exciting thing I've heard in ages. Nice to feel that thrill when hearing a new band.

Definitely looking forward to their future work.
