Corn beef is a struggle meal? My wife makes corned beef and cabbage regularly. I thought it was just her being Jamaican. I love that shit. Sautéed onions, on top of rice, side of plantain 😋

Boiled potatoes for three weeks straight. The day that I could afford groceries again my card got declined at the supermarket because it registered as an irregular purchase at the bank. That was before online banking on the phone was really a thing so I had no clue why it wasn't working and I had to leave the shopping at the register. All I could do was rush out and turn a corner because I was about to break down. I was able to get it sorted and get a good dinner later that day but it is up there with the worst moments of my life.

Oh I remember moving out from my parents house and renting a small apartment. I had this little tradition where I wanted to save money and only buy things I needed. So solid meals would only be lunch. Breakfast and dinner I would drink so much water to make myself feel full and then sleep like that.
