Wow This was Great. It's so not what most westerners would think once you first get there. My log book shows me to have visit, Moscow, Yakutsk, Vladivostok, and Novosibirsk. And like up in the northern most Canada, it was the permafrost that keep speeds low, and you may or may not arrive at the time you thought you would. I have always made good friends even with not knowing the language. It's amazing in my world travels meeting people who are so inviting to let you into your harts and country.

About the Iron Rail ? the narrative included a trip on a 1950's Engine, where writer thot the release of the air brakes, was going to rupture his ear drums😆 Russian goal for Big bad machinery. Not only am I a RR photographer, but I like Military stuff too.
Being born just a couple miles from the USAF museum, Dayton, Ohio.
The image at 12:23 shows 2 Russian guys. They are wearing what is called "blue tiger stripe" camo pattern.
I have a parka from Russia in the very same patter. Hint. If you want the absolute best in winter wear, get Russian stuff. Well made with great features. I have a lot of Russian wear.
Considering this is 1997, this pattern of tiger stripe here is not long after it's introduction.
At 14:27 the soldier in uniform appears to be in the older "Flora" camo pattern.

Excellent video! I noticed in the cabinet of the Tynda museum at around 5:10 in the video there's a paper with the Finnish and Soviet flags which appears to be some kind of sister city deal. I got curious, but wasn't able to find any Finnish sister cities with Tynda. It appears to be written in Finnish and in Russian, and I bet the name of the cities are there under the signatures. I can almost hallucinate "City of..." in Finnish from the few pixels there, but can't quite make out what city it would be!
