Dear Sir, thank you very much for the explanation of  how to use the verb 'comprise' correctly in each case of its two meanings.. but the question of main interest is, at least for the ESL learners, what is the difference, in meaning, between the two sentences you have provided; and if there isn't any, it would be very kind of you to recommend which one would sound more proper than the other.
