They keep on saying how they lifted 2.7 M Canadians from poverty. If they lifted anyone it is the government that pays their living expenses, that only means higher taxes for the hard working Canadians that don't have a say in anything that government does. Every street corner in GTA has a beggar, this was not the case 10 years ago.

Now our dollar is collapsing and we are extending mortgages to over 35 years to preserve Canadians precious "house wealth".

I bought my house almost 10 years ago and it has more than doubled in value to $1.3m+. Every year, property taxes go up and so does the cost of maintenance. Don't even want to think about renewing my mortgage when it matures later this year. It'll be hard to buy something else unless we downsize or move out of the Vancouver area. It also means my kids have no chance of getting their own place unless it's a tiny studio or something way out in the boonies.
