Good job Dr Baker, i am a beef producer from Oz. There is one key point you overlook here in my opinion, ‘what is the nutrient profile of this product? ‘
The natural system in a rangeland grazing scenario is a symphony all working together. The plants interact with soil microbes exchanging root exudates for the nutrients it needs to grow, the cow then assimilates some of those nutrients from the plant in its growth and recycles large amounts of it back to the soil by way of dung and urine to sustain more soil biological function. A biologically active soil will always produce a much more nutrient dense product because the plants have the diversity in soil microbes to partner with, think of them as having the keys to unlock all the nutrient they require to be healthy, the cow then assimilates all the nutrients it requires to stay healthy and in turn us as humans require all the nutrients we need to remain healthy. It is a system that has evolved over the last 50m years and we think we are going to just engineer it?! Just look at the difference between grain fed and grass fed beef. Both great products but look at the difference in omega3:6 ratio, look at the conjugated linoleic acid profile difference in the two different products. There is a really discernible difference just from simplifying the diet of cattle. Imagine what happens when we remove the cattle totally from the equation?!!
Tell me where and how and the right nutrients make it to this product in the right amounts? Nutrients have to come from somewhere and it seems lost on most people balanced nutrition in food has to come from soil by way of the microbial community to ensure we get all of what we need in the right amounts

I've heard they already have self contained meat factories. They're self-feeding and have built in systems for elimination of toxins. These meat factories are called "animals".

To add to the list of considerations, as a Nurse, I’ve seen such an uptick of GI patients and diverticulitis and diverticulosis, etc. How will lab grown (un-natural) meat affect our digestive system? Our GI system is already Not tolerating GMO foods, and this seems worse! I see a potential of GI and Cancer Hospital visits increasing ten fold!!
