Can't you keep separate accounts, and won't everything be separate? If you are married in many states, it doesn't matter if you title it in only one person's name or not. It will still be marital property. That surprises many people - they keep everything separate and are still surprised they have to split their marital estate. If it was "marital income" going into the account - then it's marital - BUT THAT"S WHERE PRENUP COMES IN!

Prenups can change the entire structure of this. It can make it so that you can be clear about financially how you want to approach the marriage, and that way, there isn't a constant side-eye from your partner. It is true that more couples than people would expect actually DO NOT combine finances,

I have seen many couples never share a penny - but that isn't easy, especially without a prenup. How do you purchase household items? As well as more significant things like cars, houses, boats, and jet skis? It can become a mess if you try to keep everything separate, but sometimes it works. BUT A PRENUP IS WAY WAY EASIER! IN THIS VIDEO, William S. Foley, Esq., a Tampa, Florida Divorce Lawyer, talks about Florida prenups.
