On top of that they've also signed some of the top talent for their engineering team, making it clear they’re serious about Lawrence Stroll’s vision of becoming world champions. And now, they’re even eyeing Max Verstappen to join them once the new 2026 regulations kick in. Red Bull’s current performance is dipping, and with Newey leaving, Verstappen moving to Aston Martin is starting to look like a real possibility. If Aston Martin performs well post-2026 and Alonso continues to deliver despite his age, he could stay longer with the team, chasing more championships and race wins. That would spell trouble for Lance Stroll, though, as the team would likely have to make the tough decision to drop him. But does Lawrence Stroll really have the heart to drop his own son?

Look, there's a dad who litterally buys his son anything. An F1 team to secure him a racing seat, a colleague with excellent racing merits, and now one of the best - if not the best - aero engineers in the world. We can all roast the wee lad for being on the recieving end of this, but can we just throw Lawrence a thumbs up on his dadgame?

As soon as Aston Martin have a world championship car they'll want Lance with someone who isn't going to deprive him of the occasional race win. Max would never lose to Lance. It defeats entire purpose of the team. Also, for Lance to do well he's going to need a stable and easy to drive car which Fernando also has preference for given his aggressive style. The driving pairing at the minute is ideal. A slowing legend acting as a mentor to develop the guy the entire team is based around. Max at Aston will never happen.

I honestly don't think Max would go to Aston Martin. It would have to be a deal so astronomical that even other teams would feel isnt worth it. Right now, Max carries too much baggage and I dont think Lawrence Stroll is willing to trade his son baggage for Verstappen baggage. I think Max would go a more established team like Mercedes before he goes to a team that needs to build for even future success. If Max becomes a more independent driver and distances himself from his dad and Marko, then I think other teams would be willing to deal with him.

Lance stroll is why they won’t get Max. Max wants to the #1 and the possibility of being told “lance is stroller than you, let him pass you” is why he’s not going there. Max will not be a #2 to an inferior driver.

Max will retire in 28 before he'd go to Aston. And if he bails early it will be to Mercedes. Aston wouldve been better picking up Carlos and sending Lance to Nascar or somthing.
