Hi mat. Seeing as your teaching style suits me better than other youtubers, don’t suppose you wana do a vid on club choice and the types of swing for steep faced bunkers and flatter bunkers around the greens. I switch around using sand wedge for some or 60 degree for others and rarely get it right. Ha. Here’s hoping.

I watch a lot of golf on YouTube and your teaching style is my favourite Matt - the rule of 3 and a quick recap at the end just works! Rick’s clock face pitching videos are great, but I found there were too many variables and effectively came up with my own simplified version of 2 swing lengths, 50% and 75%, with 3 clubs for my sub 100m intervals. With practice your tips can boil down to one or two reliable and very simple keys when on the course (kudos), which is what most golfers need. It would be great to see a follow on to this video for sub 30m shots (not fringe) which of course depends on obstacles, pin position etc, but for me “feel” comes much more into play and I generally go with a putter like stroke using a 54 wedge. I got a tip years ago to imagine you were throwing the golf ball under arm to give you your swing length and feel which works pretty well for me. Thanks and look forward to the next vid.

Thanks Matt. With regards to tip three I use my 9/11 shot (arms at 9, club at 11) for LW to 9 iron and have a mental note of distances for each club.

Matt I use my 52 and 56 depending on the distance but I used to have more success just using my pitching wedge and using my backswing for distance. I know your going to say go back to the pitching wedge . Do you have mainly one club you use or does it depend on the distance your at ?. I'm talking 100yds and in .
