Yay Math In Studio covers the Algebra 2 topic: Roots and Zeros. We're nearing the end of our exploration into polynomial functions. We can solve the equations by factoring, using synthetic division, dividing polynomials, completing the square, Descartes Rule of Signs, and even the quadratic formula. But before that, we need to "depress" the polynomial, perhaps by talking about really sad things. Despite the presence of depressed polynomials, YAY MATH!

You have no idea how involved you got me in math. In eighth grade I was ready to quit math altogether, because I was forced to use common core, and even my teacher couldn't solve the problems that year! I got so discouraged. That was the year I found you, because I was so desperate for help, and I was hooked. I'm now in tenth grade and more engaged in math than ever, especially the math lessons you provide! Thank you Robert, from the bottom of my heart!

Thank you so much for the videos that you made. When I was in 9th grade I was so hopeless in Math that I just usually cheat and sleep my way out of that subject but since I discovered your channel and started watching your videos, I got so engaged in math that I am one of the best in my class in now in Grade 10. Thank you so much! I wish you were my teacher when I started Algebra. You can't imagine how grateful I am right now. Thank you!!

Oh THANK GOD. I have to do these and the only way i knew how to find all zeros of a function was to test each individual option by synthetic division. It was a pain in the neck when I had a lot of options and it would take 5 or more pieces of paper and almost the rest of my quiz time. THANK U THANK U

I used the quadratic formula and got plus or minus 2i. Can we use the quadratic formula instead?
