CROCHET THE BALCONY DOOR MAT - The Stitch Sessions #49

Hi Crochet Friends!

This week's tutorial is on how to make a door mat. In my case I needed one for the door to the balcony. Since I just recently made it over as my Summer crochet nook and needed a mat, I thought this might be another great Summer crochet project.

Here we are introduced to the THERMAL stitch. This is perfect for more heartier projects like rugs, mats, hot pads, and more!

Dimensions of my rug are: 24 inches in length X 16 inches in width

Starting chains were 100 + 1

Hi There would the yarn you use be ok for an exterior mat (it will be in the weather) or should I use jute twine or something instead?

What about using 2 threads, and just do single crochet. Would that produce a sturdy rug?
