The only thing on Netflix where I don't press 'skip intro'. An absolute joy to listen to everytime.

Congratulations on promotion Sunderland. Fully deserved! 👏🏻

I gotta say, the Netflix series kinda made me a Sunderland fan. I really admire the fans. It’s amazing how faithful they are.

Sunderland lad here. My dad and both grandads worked in shipbuilding all their lives. Both now gone. This song reduces me to tears remembering them.

I lived in Sunderland for almost 6 years. I followed the club as much as i could, even though im a die-hard Liverpool fan. This club is the heartbeat of their city. You can say all the shit you want about how ugly and underdeveloped Sunderland is, but i tell you, it always felt like home. The river, St. Peters, Jarrow, Washington, Seaburn, Roker, Martin's record shop (Hot Rats), Pop recs Ltd., the Bunker all these places remind me of my teenage years. Im 27 now, i left sunderland in 2014, i moved to Brighton afterwards, but almost every weekend i was travelling with megabus back to the northeast just to see my friends and enjoy the hospitality of this city. i remember having my first pint with Sunderland fans in Lambton Worm, and the fatty burgers from the cantine next to Dunn House. i remember the first time i went to the Stadium of light to watch the lads play against Aston Villa. It was 2009. These series gave me the chills. Stay strong lads! Whatever doesn't kill us makes us stronger! All the Love!!! Support the Black Cats no matter what!

“But if you could see me now, if you could see me now I hope that I’m making you proud “ these words make everyone think of a relative/ friend they’ve lost

I'm a Newcastle United fan and came across this song whilst watching the documentary. A hauntingly, beautiful song and a lament to the loss of a loved one and the industrial heritage of the North East of England.

Diehard Wolves fan but this song and the Sunderland documentary breaks my heart. Every week I look out for the Sunderland result and I can't wait for that eventual day they make it back to the Premiership. You fans are the best!!!

I live in Liverpool but born and bred in Sunderland. This song makes me extremely homesick and so proud of my hometown. Next stop… The Premier League!!!

This song always makes me think of my grandad. He worked down the pits for most of his life and was a lifelong Sunderland fan, took me to a good few of my first games, him and me dad are the reason I'm a Sunderland fan. Rip Grandad.

I watched the Sunderland till I die documentary in hopes of having a laugh. In all honesty it was so well put together I found my self rooting for them at times during it and made me genuinely feel for the team and it’s supporters.

It might sound crazy, but Sunderland really remind me of my city and my football club, Foggia, in the south of Italy. We went through many dark moments, and we still are. But we're still there, and I know you can relate. Next month our club turns one hundred years old, and we are in the fourth division after bankruptcy.
We will see the dawn of an infinite day again.
Respect_ Forza Foggia and Forza Sunderland !

Even as a Toon fan, I''ll admit from what I've watched so far, the doco has been brilliant. Can't help but feel a little bit of sympathy for the fans, for a lot of them this is what they live for. Who knows if it wasn't for Rafa Benitez and the financial return on some our players (Wijnaldum, Sissoko) we could've gone down a similar road especially with Ashley at the helm. At the end of the day we're all passionate about the same thing and that is Football.

"if you could see me now, I hope that I'm making you proud". This line hits really hard. Love from India, mate. Not a lot of Sunderland fans here, but you'll always find support in me.
