Any abuse done to you for any reason is horrible and unacceptable.

Any idea that someone is not saved because they’re not Mid-Acts is absurd and the majority of the Mid-Acts movement does not hold that at all, but like in any groups there are those who remain in their “cage-stage” for ever and hurt their Christian lives and others.

You are making some valid critiques of the KJV-only slice of the Mid-Acts movement (when the majority of the Mid-Acts movement is not KJV-O whatsoever & neither were its founders at all)

Many of these same critiques could easily be said about fundamentalism (most of which are not Mid-Acts) in general.

The critique about slogans could be said about anybody promoting any theological position (how many Calvinists repeat over and over “God is sovereign”? does that make Calvinism a cult? Of course not)

Again, it appears you have a experienced bad examples of a theology and it is important to not confuse bad examples of a theology with the theology itself.

Anyone can take anything that is good and represent it poorly. Is Calvinism a cult according to you?
